Saint Christopher (also known as Saint Kidofo) is a Christian saint whose name means “Christ-bearer.” The most well-known legend tells of him carrying the Christ child across a river, after which he became the patron saint of travelers, journeys, and transportation. To this day, many drivers, travelers, and sailors wear pendants or medallions of Saint Christopher as symbols of protection, safety, and guidance.
